Coocci Contemporary Japanese - Yummy Japanese Food in Serangoon NOT Commonwealth
Coocci Contemporary Japanese is a Japanese hawker stall that USED to be located in Commonwealth Crescent Market. I normally call it that Awesome jap food stall at Commonwealth.
However, it is now located at Serangoon instead. The Commonwealth Crescent market is closed.
It is like locating a treasure. I had went to Commonwealth a couple months ago looking for the stall but it was closed! I am glad to find it at the new location. It stands out like a jewel with the zen inspired styles and Japanese decor. Coocci Contemporary Japanese for a tongue twister. The menu is simple, only 8 dishes, but all of them are pretty exquisite. Food is prepared fresh, so it will take a while before it is ready.
Can considering ordeing the Soboro Don ($5) which is rice mixed with egg and a layer of minced chicken thigh on top. - or the Tori Nanban - Fried Chicken $6 that comes with a bowl of rice. The generous portion of chicken thigh meat was yummilicous.
Both dishes comes with a refreshing shredded daikon and tofu salad
