AHM 2013
Every year, the SAF organises the Army Half Marathon. And without fail, every year, there are always complains on it - from the organisation, to the route, to being forced to go. This year, no exception!
Heard that the route was poorly marked, till people even went the wrong way. Many bottle necks. Resulted in people having to halt the runs. Part of the reason I am guessing is also because many people who attend the AHM are forced to go, some of them are from the army camps and units and are there to well, make up numbers.
Interestingly, HWZ highlighted that the actual distance was less than 21km! Kinda sad if you had make it your life target to complete at least a 21KM run and this event was the one. Only to find out that you fell short of the mark, thanks to the organisers.
So every year, an event that is meant to showcase the army excellent organising abilities, sort of their returning a favour to society ends up in a bashing event instead. Tough luck.
